The short version
- The anonymous leaker known as Cyberleek returned on October 8 after about six weeks of silence.
- The new drop, nicknamed the "Extended Leek", is a roughly 370MB file with about 25 minutes of alleged GTA 6 footage.
- Rockstar hasn't commented on this batch, and the footage hasn't been independently verified.
- None of it changes the plan: GTA 6 still launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Spoiler warning: reports say some of the clips include story cutscenes. We describe the leak in general terms below, but if you want to go in blind, the safest move is to stay off social media for a while.
What's in the new footage
Cyberleek first appeared on August 18, shortly before Rockstar's official An Extended Look gameplay special premiered on Netflix on August 27. Then it went quiet. On October 5, the leaker's site put up a teasing poll that closed on October 8, and the new upload landed the same day.
Going by reports from Dexerto, Kotaku and Forbes, the clips include:
- Mission cutscenes featuring Jason and Lucia
- A dirt bike race and street racing with nitrous boosts
- Engine tuning and car customisation
- Small slices of the map: a roadside store in a trailer, a bridge by a waterfall, a beachfront coffee shop and something called the "thrillbilly mud club"
Some clips also reportedly show adult content involving the two leads, which is very much in line with the series' reputation.

How real is it?
Nobody outside Rockstar can say for sure. What we do know is that Rockstar told IGN after the August leaks that the person behind them had played the game, which is about as close to confirmation as a publisher usually gets.
There's a catch, though. Some of the new footage appears to be in first-person, and Rockstar has said the final game won't have a first-person mode. That points to an older development build, so anything in these clips could look different, or be gone, on November 19.
The leaker says this is a protest against digital-only releases, pre-orders and in-game monetisation. Earlier in the saga, the account was also promoting a cryptocurrency, which reportedly has since stopped.
Rockstar and Take-Two's response
Rockstar called the earlier leaks "heartbreaking" for the team. Take-Two has already taken legal action and subpoenaed platforms to identify the leaker, and court filings describe the investigation as "rapidly evolving". Forbes expects more leaks before launch.

Our take
On paper, this leak adds detail rather than surprises. Racing, car tuning and a strange local club all fit what Rockstar has already shown. The bigger risk is to anyone who hasn't seen a story spoiler yet, so mute the obvious keywords if that's you.
