The short version
- CMF by Nothing launched its first two speakers on October 12: the small Speaker S and the bigger Speaker M.
- Speaker S costs $59 (about ₹5,600) and puts out 10W. Speaker M costs $109 (about ₹10,400) and puts out 35W.
- Both are IP68, use Bluetooth 6.0 and are rated for up to 18 hours of playback.
- They're listed on Nothing's India site, but Indian prices and a sale date haven't been announced.
Two sizes, same idea
CMF is Nothing's cheaper sub-brand, and these speakers lean into the same chunky, colourful design as its earbuds and watches. Some outlets have compared them to milk cartons, and it's not a bad description. Both come in Turquoise, Dark Grey, White and Orange, and the front panels and control knobs come off, so you can swap them or 3D-print your own.
The Speaker S is the grab-and-go one. It uses a single 45mm driver with two passive radiators, weighs 334g and has a hook for clipping it to a bag. The Speaker M nearly doubles the weight to 602g but adds a proper two-way setup: a 25W woofer and a 10W tweeter, for 35W in total.

Features you get on both
- 18 hours of playback (CMF's figure, at 50% volume with Ultra Bass on); 10 minutes of charging gives about an hour
- Stereo pairing of two identical speakers, plus Party Mode over Auracast for linking more
- USB-C audio for wired playback, NFC tap-to-pair, Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair
- Nothing X app support, with EQ presets, a custom EQ, Ultra Bass and a Night Mode

Our take
On paper, the Speaker S looks like the easier recommendation. Around ₹5,600 for IP68, Bluetooth 6.0 and stereo pairing is a strong spec sheet at that size. The Speaker M asks nearly double for more power and a real tweeter, which makes more sense if it's going to sit on a desk or fill a room.
The rupee figures above are straight conversions from US prices, not Indian prices. Nothing hasn't confirmed those yet, so that's the number to watch.
