The short version
- Nine games join the PS Plus Game Catalog in October, and most arrive on Tuesday, October 20.
- The big ones: Mafia: The Old Country (day one) and Horizon Forbidden West, which is back on the service.
- Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 are classics, so you need the top tier for them (called Deluxe in India).
- In India, Extra costs ₹979 a month (₹2,599 for 3 months, ₹8,709 for a year). Deluxe is ₹1,109 a month.
If you're on Essential, these aren't for you. Your October games are F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and EDF: World Brothers 2.

The dates shift a little by region. In the US, UK and Japan, The Midnight Walk is already live, and Poppy Playtime, Tales of Arise and Supercross wait until October 27. Everywhere else, PlayStation LifeStyle reports the whole lineup lands on October 20.
Mafia: The Old Country
The headline addition, and it arrives on day one. It's a prequel set in 1900s Sicily, telling the story of where the series' organised crime started. GameSpot describes it as a story-heavy action game you could finish over a weekend, which makes it an easy one to try on a subscription.
Horizon Forbidden West
Aloy's second adventure is back in the catalogue, on both PS5 and PS4. If you skipped it the first time, this is the cheapest way in.
For the horror crowd
October leans spooky. Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 takes you deeper into an abandoned toy factory, and The Midnight Walk is a dark fantasy adventure made from real clay models. You can play it in VR if you own a PS VR2.
Two classics for top-tier members
Dino Crisis 2 is Capcom's dinosaur survival-action game from the PS1 days, with more than 10 dinosaur species to fight off. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is the opposite mood: build a theme park and try not to make the guests sick.
Premium members also get time-limited trials of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II from October 20.
