The short version
- Nintendo's Indie World aired on October 28, 2026 and ran about 15 minutes, with 23 games for Switch 2 and Switch.
- Witchbrook, Chucklefish's witch-school life sim, finally has a date: January 28, 2027.
- City of None comes from a Celeste co-creator, and Tenjutsu from a former Dead Cells director. Both are due in 2027.
- One game is out now (Bao Bao's Cozy Cleaning Services), four have free demos on the eShop, and Sword of the Sea lands on Switch 2 today, October 29. Nintendo didn't show any prices.
The headline games
Indie Worlds are short and dense, and this one didn't waste a second. The biggest news, going by both the coverage and Nintendo Life's reader poll, was Witchbrook. It's a life sim set at a witch college in the seaside town of Mossport, playable with up to four people online, and it's coming to both Switch 2 and Switch on January 28, 2027. In that poll it was the top pick at 14%.
City of None is the other big one. It's an action and puzzle platformer from Extremely OK Games, the studio behind Celeste, made with Celeste co-creator Noel Berry and Liam Berry. You move through five city sectors and fight the Barons who run them. It's due on Switch 2 and Switch in 2027. On paper, a precise platformer from that team is about as safe a bet as indie games get.
Then there's Tenjutsu, a top-down roguelike brawler from Deepnight Games, published by Devolver. Deepnight is led by a former Dead Cells director, which tells you roughly what kind of combat to expect. It's Switch 2 only, in 2027.

The rest of the line-up
The other notable reveals, grouped by what they actually are:
- Slime Rancher 2 (Monomi Park) comes to Switch 2 in January 2027, following Beatrix LeBeau to Rainbow Island.
- Spirit Crossing (Spry Fox) is a life-sim MMO set above the clouds, out on November 16 for Switch 2 and Switch.
- Threads of Time is a turn-based JRPG with heroes pulled from different eras, due summer 2027. It was the second most popular pick in that poll.
- Winds of Viridia (Shark Jump) is a Switch 2 action-adventure with a mothbug companion, with music from Kevin Penkin and Christopher Larkin, Hollow Knight's composer. Nintendo lists it for 2027.
- R.E.P.O., semiwork's online co-op horror game about hauling loot out of haunted ruins, comes to Switch 2 in 2027.
- Super Battle Golf puts up to eight players on a course at once, sabotaging each other, on March 25, 2027.
- My Arms Are Longer Now, from Toot Games and Jackbox, is a stretchy-arm heist game out March 11, 2027.
- Dumpster Gang is four-player online co-op as raccoons, due March 2027 on Switch 2.
Smaller titles in the montage included Kitsune: The Journey of Adashino, Haunted Paws, Everything is Crab (with a free Switch 2 upgrade for Switch owners), Finding Polka, Floor Plan: Slap Out Of It!, HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate, Lost and Found Co. and TANUKI: Pon's Summer.

Sword of the Sea is out today
Sword of the Sea, Giant Squid's surfing adventure on a hoversword, arrives on Switch 2 on October 29, the same day as its Xbox Series X|S release. It's from the studio behind Abzû and The Pathless, and it was a PlayStation console exclusive until now. If you want something to play this week rather than in 2027, that's the one.
What you can try right now
Nintendo did the usual trick of putting demos up during the show. Petal Runner, a solarpunk pixel-art motorcycle courier game from Nano Park Studios and iam8bit, is a Switch 2 console exclusive due in March 2027, and its demo is live. So are demos for Winds of Viridia, Haunted Paws and RACCOIN: Chaos Max Edition, a coin-pusher roguelike that supports Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and launches in full on November 10.

The one full release was Bao Bao's Cozy Cleaning Services, a pixel-art cleaning game that went live on Switch the same day.
What to watch for
Prices will show up on eShop listings closer to each launch, and the November games come first: RACCOIN and TANUKI on November 10, then Spirit Crossing on November 16. If you only grab one demo tonight, Winds of Viridia is the one people voted for most among the games you can actually play.
