The short version
- Sony announced the Prism Collection on October 28, 2026: see-through DualSense controllers and PS5 console covers in Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray.
- A controller costs $84.99 (about ₹8,100) and a set of covers $74.99 (about ₹7,100). Sony hasn't announced India prices or availability.
- Pre-orders open November 10 at 10am local time. Release starts February 4, 2027, and dates can vary by region.
- Controllers are going on sale worldwide. The covers are mostly sold direct from PlayStation, in limited quantities elsewhere.
Three transparent colours
The Prism Collection is Sony's take on the see-through gadget look of the late 1990s. Leo Cardoso of Sony's colour, material and finish design team said in the announcement that the aim was to bring that trend back in a modern way that suits the PS5's design.
Each colour comes as a DualSense controller and a matching pair of console covers:

Flare Orange is the loudest of the three, a bright, glowing orange. Sony describes Emerald Green as a silky green and Graphite Gray as a refined grey, which makes it the quiet option of the three.

Being see-through, the shells let you see part of what's inside. On paper, that's the whole appeal: a controller you buy partly to look at.

That's the same $84.99 Sony charged for the Battle Yellow DualSense in its Marvel's Wolverine line-up earlier this year. Pre-orders start on November 10 at 10am local time, both direct from PlayStation and at participating retailers. In the US, direct ordering opens at 7am PT.
Direct ordering is only available in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal and Italy. That matters more for the covers than the controllers.
Which PS5 do the covers fit?
Sony's post doesn't list the PS5 models the covers fit. Push Square reports that they're made for the current standard PS5 model, with no versions for the PS5 Pro or older PS5s. If you own a launch-era PS5 or a Pro, wait for Sony's store listing to confirm compatibility before you pre-order.
What about India?
Sony hasn't said anything about India yet. The conversions above are rough, before Indian taxes, and Sony India usually sets its own price rather than a straight conversion. Sony India has sold special DualSense colours before, but it hasn't confirmed this set. The covers are less likely to show up officially, since Sony is mostly selling them direct.
The date to remember is November 10. If past limited colours are a guide, the covers in particular may not stay in stock long.
