The short version

  • Microsoft has confirmed 11 Game Pass additions for November so far, running from Gravhounds (out now) to Arkheron on November 27.
  • The biggest names are Football Manager 27 (early play from November 3, full launch November 10) and Warhammer Survivors, a Vampire Survivors-style game made with that game's studio, poncle.
  • 14 games leave the service, all by November 15. GoldenEye 007, Wreckfest, Moonlighter and Football Manager 26 are among them.
  • Most additions are for Ultimate and PC Game Pass only. Two of them, VOID/BREAKER and the full FM27, also reach the cheaper Premium tier.

Everything joining in November

The list below comes from NME's roundup of Microsoft's announcements, published on November 2. Microsoft usually adds a second wave mid-month, so expect more.

The first week's games, including FM27, VOID/BREAKER and Escape Academy 2, are covered in our new games this week roundup. Here's what the rest of the month brings.

Warhammer Survivors (November 10)

This is the one most people will try first. Auroch Digital made it in partnership with Warhammer and poncle, the studio behind Vampire Survivors. It works the same way: you move, your weapons fire on their own, and the screen fills with enemies until you're surrounded by bullets and explosions.

The twist is the setting. Champions come from both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar, and there are over 40 of them with 75+ weapons, per the Steam page. A demo is already on Steam. If you liked Vampire Survivors, this is the obvious next one to try.

Tanuki: Pon's Summer (November 10)

A gentle life-sim from Denkiworks. You're a tanuki, the raccoon-dog of Japanese folklore, spending a summer on a sunny island delivering post on a BMX. Along the way you restore a shrine before the Great Tanuki Festival and make friends with the islanders. It's the pick for anyone who wants something calm after a night of Warhammer.

Hope in the City and Thronefall (November 11)

Hope in the City is a narrative mystery set in Shenyang, China. You play 17-year-old Hope Song, who comes home to find her parents missing and the flat ransacked. Her notebook sketches become the clues. It's from Lofty Sky Entertainment and NAGA Games.

Thronefall is the odd one out, because it's been on Steam since October 2024. It's a pared-back strategy game: build up your kingdom in the day, then defend it against waves of attackers at night. On Steam it costs ₹610 in India, so Game Pass saves you very little here. Still, it's worth a try through Game Pass if build-and-defend strategy is your thing.

Arkheron (November 27)

The month ends with Arkheron, an isometric team PvP game from Bonfire Studios. Teams of three climb a haunted tower floor by floor, and items called Relics change your build mid-fight. It has a 3v3 mode called Spires and a 15-team mode called Ascension. None of the month's additions besides Thronefall have a Steam price yet, so we can't give rupee figures for them.

Leaving by November 15

All 14 of these leave by November 15:

  • Football Manager 26
  • 1000xRESIST
  • Barbie Horse Trails
  • DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2
  • Firefighting Simulator
  • GoldenEye 007
  • Great God Grove
  • Moonlighter
  • Pigeon Simulator
  • Police Simulator: Patrol Officers
  • Relic Hunters Legend
  • Total Chaos
  • Winter Burrow
  • Wreckfest

GoldenEye 007 is the one that will sting for many people. No reason has been given for its exit. Football Manager 26 leaving makes sense with FM27 arriving the same month, but if you have a long-running save, now is the time to decide whether to buy it or move to the new game. 1000xRESIST is worth a look first if you've never tried it, since it's a story-driven game rather than one you play forever.

What about the Game Pass changes?

In September, reports said Microsoft planned to change Game Pass Ultimate, including cloud gaming and day-one releases. A Microsoft spokesperson told Forbes that it has no changes to announce or finalised plans, and that games already announced for Ultimate on day one are unchanged. Nothing in this month's list suggests otherwise.

If you're subscribed, start with GoldenEye 007 or 1000xRESIST before November 15, then pick up Warhammer Survivors on November 10.
