The short version

  • The Infinix GT 50 Pro launched in India this week at ₹69,999 for its only version, 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
  • It comes with a free bundle Infinix values at ₹24,999: a controller, a TV dock, a cooling fan that also charges, and a magnetic cover.
  • Inside: the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, a 144Hz AMOLED screen, a 6,500mAh battery and liquid cooling with a tiny pump.
  • Sale starts October 30 at 12pm on Flipkart and Infinix's own store, with ₹5,000 off on some bank cards.

Price and offers

There's one configuration. Here's how the offers stack up:

Price
List price (12GB + 256GB)₹69,999
With ₹5,000 bank discount (SBI, ICICI, HDFC, Yes Bank, Axis credit cards)₹64,999
Lowest effective price reported, with bank offer and no-cost EMI₹63,499
Accessory bundle value (included free)₹24,999

Buyers also get a JioGames Pro Pass for 28 days at ₹1 (normally ₹499). No-cost EMI runs up to 18 months.

That's a big jump. The GT 30 Pro started at ₹24,999, so the new model costs nearly three times as much. Part of that is the bundle. Launch coverage also points to this year's memory shortage, which has pushed up RAM and storage costs across phones and PCs.

The chip

The GT 50 Pro runs the Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, a 4nm chip with eight Arm Cortex-A725 cores and no small efficiency cores. The top core reaches 3.25GHz. Graphics come from an Arm Mali-G720 GPU, with MediaTek's frame rate converter that can add generated frames in supported games.

It's an upper-midrange chip, a step below MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9000 series. On paper, that's plenty for BGMI, Call of Duty Mobile and Genshin Impact at high settings. Infinix pairs it with fast LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage, which helps with load times.

The gaming bits

Infinix GT 50 Pro HydroFlow liquid cooling, official Infinix image

Liquid cooling. Most phones use a vapour chamber, a sealed flat pipe where liquid evaporates near the chip and condenses further away. Infinix's HydroFlow system adds a micro-pump that actively pushes coolant around, reportedly at 6.5ml per minute, and you can see it flowing through a window on the back. The aim is to stop the chip throttling during long sessions. Infinix hasn't shared sustained-performance figures, and nobody has tested it independently yet.

Shoulder triggers. The GT Triggers 2.0 are pressure-sensitive buttons on the edge that you map to on-screen controls. Infinix says each supports up to four mapping points and 10 sensitivity levels, with two-stage presses and sliding inputs.

Bypass charging. When you play while plugged in, the phone can run straight off the charger instead of charging and draining the battery at the same time. That keeps the battery cooler.

What's in the bundle

  • GT NX Controller: a controller for the phone.
  • GT NX Station: a dock for playing on a TV or monitor.
  • GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0: a magnetic fan with a thermoelectric cooler that also charges wirelessly.
  • Magnetic cover to hold the cooler in place.

On paper, the bundle is the main reason to pick this over a regular phone at the price. If you'd never use a controller or a TV dock, a non-gaming phone with a faster flagship chip is within reach for the same money.

What to watch next

The sale opens on October 30 at 12pm on Flipkart. Independent tests of the pump cooling and sustained frame rates will show whether it beats a standard vapour chamber. It lands the same week as Free Fire India.
