Motorola Signature 27 Launches November 5 With Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, as Geekbench Shows Its Early Scores

Motorola has confirmed November 5 for the Signature 27, with India among the first markets. It runs Qualcomm's 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, and a Geekbench 7 listing shows 3,313 single-core and 11,088 multi-core. Here's what's confirmed, what's leaked, how the scores compare, and what it could cost next to the ₹59,999 first Signature.

The short version

  • Motorola has confirmed November 5, 2026 as the launch date for the Signature 27, its new flagship. Its India website had been teasing "coming this November" before the exact date went up.
  • It runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, the faster of Qualcomm's two 2nm flagship chips, alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto, Bang & Olufsen audio and seven years of Android updates.
  • A Geekbench 7.1 listing shows 3,313 single-core and 11,088 multi-core with 12GB RAM on Android 17. That's a little below earlier Geekbench 7 results for the same chip, which is normal for a pre-launch unit.
  • No price yet. One Indian report expects around ₹79,999, well above the ₹59,999 the first Signature launched at. Treat that as a guess until Motorola says otherwise.

What Motorola has confirmed

Motorola first showed the Signature 27 on September 23, the day Qualcomm's new chips were announced. The launch date came in late October. GSMArena says Motorola's India site moved from a vague "coming this November" teaser to the exact date, and Motorola posted the date on X. The September announcement said the phone would reach global markets later this year, and the India teaser makes India one of them.

What Motorola has said about the hardware so far:

  • Chip: Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. One GSMArena report from September named the standard 8 Elite Gen 6 instead, but Motorola's later material points to the Extreme.
  • Main camera: 50MP Sony LYT-910 sensor with optical image stabilisation.
  • Telephoto: a 200MP periscope camera. Other reports say it reaches up to 100x zoom, digitally.
  • Cooling: "ArcticMesh", with a vapour chamber 40% larger than the previous model's.
  • Audio: the first phone tuned by Bang & Olufsen under a new partnership.
  • Software: Android 17 out of the box, with seven years of OS updates.
  • Colours: Pantone Coal Smoke and Capulet Olive, with a textured back.

The Geekbench listing

GSMArena spotted the phone on Geekbench on October 31, running Geekbench 7.1. The listing shows 3,313 single-core and 11,088 multi-core, 12GB of RAM and Android 17. Other reports put the top CPU clock at about 5.01GHz, in line with Qualcomm's own spec of up to 5.0GHz for the two prime cores.

How does that compare? Beebom reported a leaked Geekbench 7 run for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 of about 3,582 single-core and 12,247 multi-core. Motorola's unit is roughly 7-9% behind on both. Pre-launch phones often run on early software and haven't been tuned for performance yet, so retail units usually score higher. GSMArena expects the same here.

One warning: Geekbench 7 scores are much lower than Geekbench 6 scores on the same chip. On Geekbench 6, the same chip scored about 4,257 single-core. So don't compare this listing with older Geekbench 6 numbers you've seen for other phones. Our benchmark leak guide explains why.

The chip inside

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is a 2nm chip with eight Oryon CPU cores: two prime cores at up to 5.0GHz and six performance cores at up to 4.0GHz. Against last year's 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm claims:

8 Elite Extreme Gen 68 Elite Gen 6
CPU performance+13%+10%
GPU performance+44%+35%
NPU (AI) performance+35%+14%
Video recording8K at 60fps8K at 30fps

The bigger GPU gain is the one that matters for games. Our Gen 6 vs Extreme Gen 6 guide covers the differences in detail. The Extreme is also in the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, the OnePlus 16 and the upcoming iQOO 16, so Motorola is one of several brands bringing it to India.

What's still only leaked

My Mobile India has published a fuller spec list, but without sources. Treat all of this as unconfirmed:

  • 6.8-inch curved LTPO OLED at 165Hz
  • 50MP ultrawide and 50MP front camera
  • About 6,000mAh battery, 125W wired and 50W wireless charging
  • 12GB LPDDR6 RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage

The first Motorola Signature, launched in India in January 2026, had a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 6.8-inch 144Hz LTPO screen and three 50MP rear cameras. My Mobile India says it was priced at ₹59,999.

Price: the big unknown

Motorola hasn't announced a price. My Mobile India expects about ₹79,999 for the 12GB/256GB model, possibly closer to ₹74,999 with launch offers. GSMArena noted a European retailer listing suggesting it "won't be an affordable device". Flagship chips and memory both cost more this year, so a price rise over the first Signature wouldn't be a surprise. Our Samsung memory story explains why phone memory is getting more expensive.

Watch the November 5 launch for three things: the official India price, whether the leaked 6,000mAh battery and 125W charging hold up, and how retail Geekbench scores compare with this early listing.
