The short version
- At least four flagship lines are lined up for India in November: the Motorola Signature 27, iQOO 16, Xiaomi 18 Pro and the Vivo X500 series. Motorola, iQOO and Xiaomi have confirmed India launches; Vivo hasn't yet.
- The chip split is simple. Motorola and iQOO use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Vivo's top two X500 models use MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro. Xiaomi's exact chip name is reported two ways.
- Below them, the Motorola Edge 70 Neo (Snapdragon 7s Gen 3) and the POCO X8s (Snapdragon 7 Gen 4) aim at the ₹30,000 to ₹50,000 crowd.
- Almost no India prices are official. Tipped figures run from about ₹40,000 for the Edge 70 Neo to above ₹1 lakh for the Signature 27 and up to ₹2 lakh for the X500 Pro Max.
Why this month matters
Qualcomm and MediaTek both moved their flagship phone chips to 2nm this year. The first phones went on sale in China in September and October. November is when most of them reach India, so it's the first time Indian buyers get to pick between this year's two big chip families across several brands.
We've pulled the lineup together from launch reports published by My Mobile India, The Hans India and The Mobile Indian on October 30-31, plus what the brands said at India Mobile Congress 2026. Where those reports disagree, we say so.

The flagships
Motorola Signature 27: Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6
This is the most confirmed of the lot. Motorola's global launch is on November 5, and Motorola India marketing head Shivam Ranjan said at IMC 2026 that the phone is coming to India. Reports disagree on whether India gets it on November 5 or later in the month.
Motorola has confirmed the Extreme chip, a 200MP periscope telephoto, a 50MP Sony LYT-910 main camera, Bang & Olufsen audio and seven years of Android updates. Leaks add a 6.8-inch 165Hz LTPO screen and a 6,000mAh battery. The Mobile Indian expects it to cost above ₹1 lakh. Our launch story has the full spec breakdown and early Geekbench 7 scores.
iQOO 16: Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6
iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya said at IMC that the iQOO 16 is "coming soon", with no date yet. The China model has a 6.85-inch 165Hz display, an 8,400mAh battery and 100W charging, and costs CNY 5,999 there (about ₹86,000). A leaked India price of ₹86,999 has done the rounds, but treat it as unconfirmed.
On paper, iQOO is the one to watch if you mostly game on your phone. It's the same Extreme chip as the Motorola, in a phone built around a bigger battery.
Xiaomi 18 Pro: Snapdragon 8 Elite (Gen 6 or Extreme Gen 6)
Xiaomi India's Gautam Batra confirmed the India debut at IMC, without a date. Here the reports split on the chip: My Mobile India says Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, The Hans India says the Extreme. Leaks describe a 6.4-inch OLED, a small 2.66-inch second screen on the back, two 200MP rear cameras plus a 50MP one, and LPDDR5X memory at 9,600Mbps. No price has been tipped.
Vivo X500 series: Dimensity 9600 Pro and Dimensity 9600
Vivo has launched three X500 phones in China, but hasn't confirmed India. Reports tip an India launch by the end of November, with prices starting above ₹90,000.

The Pro Max is rumoured to cost up to ₹2 lakh in India. That's a reported figure, not Vivo's.
Snapdragon Extreme vs Dimensity 9600 Pro, in plain terms
Both are 2nm chips with eight big CPU cores and no small efficiency cores at all.
- Qualcomm's Extreme uses its own Oryon cores: two at up to 5.0GHz and six at up to 4.0GHz. Its Adreno GPU gets 18MB of dedicated memory, and Qualcomm claims a 44% faster GPU than last year. Our Gen 6 vs Extreme Gen 6 guide explains the difference from the standard version.
- MediaTek's 9600 Pro uses Arm cores in a 2+3+3 layout: two C2-Ultra at up to 4.55GHz, three C2-Pro at 4.35GHz and three C2-Pro at 3.10GHz. Its 12-core Mali G2-Ultra GPU is claimed to be 27% faster at 24% lower peak power. We covered it in our OPPO Find X10 Ultra story.
Those are the makers' own claims. Neither has been tested side by side in a retail phone sold in India yet, and sustained gaming performance depends as much on each phone's cooling as on the chip. Our thermal throttling guide covers why.

The mid-range and budget launches
| Phone | Chip | Status | Tipped India price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Motorola Edge 70 Neo | Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 | Expected | ₹40,000-50,000 |
| POCO X8s | Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 | Launched globally | Not tipped |
| OnePlus 16R | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | Leaked | Not tipped |
| Realme 17 Pro series | Dimensity 7500 (rumoured) | Leaked | Not tipped |
| Moto G47 Power | Dimensity 6300 | Launched in Europe | Not tipped |
| Vivo Y32 | Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 | Expected | Not tipped |
| Wobble Speed 5G | Unisoc (model not named) | Teased | Under ₹20,000 |
| Karbonn Rebel 5G | Unisoc T8300 | Expected | Under ₹20,000 |
The OnePlus 16R is the interesting one here. It reportedly uses last year's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which keeps it a flagship-class chip at what is usually a lower price. Battery leaks range from 8,500mAh to 9,000mAh, so wait for OnePlus before trusting either number.
What to watch
The Signature 27 on November 5 sets the tone: once Motorola names an India price, we'll know how much this year's memory shortage has pushed flagship prices up. After that, watch for dates from iQOO and Xiaomi, and for Vivo to confirm whether the X500 series is actually coming.
